Meet Chef Toni! Feeding those in need in Ocean County! She ll be selling her delicious baked goods on Saturday at our TRAC Summer Arts Fest in support of the NO KID HUNGRY project.
The No Kids hungry bake sale is a program anyone can sign up for. Chef Toni always wanted to get involved but never had time, until one day she decided to just go for it! Anything she could do was better than nothing. Chef Toni has also been feeding the homeless for about 3 years. Her first event was at Tent City and it was a big success! After Tent City was abolished Chef Toni and her Sous Chef made food, collect clothes and distribute where needed. Last year she got involved with Code Blue (the winter coat warming centers of Ocean County. Chef Toni feeds the homeless 2x a month. She also volunteers for JBJ Soul Kitchen in Toms River and Simons Soup Kitchen in Seaside Heights. She teamed up with Sharon Quilter (baker) for No Kid Hungry because like Chef Toni, Sharon has a heart of gold. Come down on Saturday to meet these amazing women and try their food and goodies! All proceeds go to NO KID HUNGRY. TRAC is honored and humbled to be working with these great women. Stay tuned for more combined events with TRAC and NO KID HUNGRY!!
THIS FRIDAY 8/16 AT 9:00am CHEF TONI WILL BE ON THE SHAWN MICHAELS SHOW TALKING ABOUT NO KID HUNGRY PROJECT. SHE WILL ALSO BE TALKING ABOUT THEIR BAKE SALE AT THE SUMMER ARTS FEST. COME SUPPORT THIS AMAZING ORGANIZATION!
The mission of the group is two fold. First, to strengthen the artist community by creating an affordable, active and vibrant environment, where local artists can work, teach, and exhibit their art- thus enriching the culture and the arts in our local community. Second, by enriching the local community, we hope to serve as part of the catalyst for revitalization in Downtown Toms River.
Our membership is only $30.00 a year! The cost to hang art after you are a member is $5.00 per piece or $15.00 per piece for non-members.
We host monthly membership meetings the 2nd Tuesday of each month. This is when we hand in new art for the month, we have guest speakers, they speak about anything to do with art, we critique each others art and help each other with ideas and recommendations and share art events happening in the area.

OUR ANNUAL JURIED ART COMPETITION FOR THE ARTISTS AT HIGH SCHOOL SOUTH. CONGRATS TO OUR WINNERS AND ALL THE ARTISTS THAT PARTICIPATED.
This basket was donated by TRAC to a local dance academy fund raiser. We had 12 of our Artists donate 1 piece of art each. This basket was raffled off for $5.00 a ticket. There was 489 tickets in the bucket by the time the winner was pulled. Our basket raised $2445.00 for the kids in this dance academy! TRAC believes in giving back.
It not only takes many hands, hearts and minds to make an organization like this work. It also takes money. We are a 501(c)(3) Corporation. We rely solely on membership dues, fundraisers and the generosity of our community to keep our Gallery open for all to enjoy.
To our Board of Directors, BID, The Township of Toms River, public groups, sponsors, family, friends, supporters and of course all our Artists. Thank you, with out all of your help TRAC could not do this.
We have so many people to thank! Thank you to all of the board members that worked so hard to make this a fun and excited event! Thank to our families that had to listen to us for months about how to pull this off. To the Grunin Foundation for the generous gift of the prize money, The Bid for all of their help, Angelina and her wonderful crew from Broadway on Main, Jimmy, from The Clubhouse of Toms River, for being our MC, DJ and provided 3 wonderful acoustic bands. The County of Ocean for allowing us to hold our event on the lawn at the Ocean County Parking Garage. To all of the businesses and other Artist Communities for sharing all of our advertising posts and hanging of our flyers. John at Blended Prints for printing our shirts on the fly!!! To our judge Fernando Deoliveira, we can not thank you enough. To all the 30+ artists that came out and showed their amazing talents and the 3 great food trucks that kept us all fed!
To NO KID HUNGRY - Chef Toni and Sharon did a great job with over 30 dozen homemade baked goods. Thank you for choosing TRAC to help support this great cause!
This year, with a brand new Board of Directors and a new location made it a bit challenging for us. BUT as always we made it happen. Lots of smiling faces, lots of art sold and new friends made. We could not have asked for a better event! We can't wait until next year!
Be the first to hear about upcoming events, exciting stories, and volunteer opportunities.
